  • $1600 car road trip success

So I just got back home 2 days ago from a pretty decent road trip in my new daily which still gives me confidence in the reliability of these plastic shit boxes. Started out in south eastern PA, made the journey down to Austin, TX for 2.5 weeks where the car got driven almost every day, then to southern Georgia and back to PA. The total miles on the trip was around 3500 + some other small jaunts. Burned ~3 quarts of oil along the way and had to swap on an EGR block along the way since that decided to on the road trip, but those were the only real issues. I did a fuel filter and plug wires when I got to TX, but only because I thought that might have been causing issues which were from the EGR. I'll be giving this thing a bit more love in the suspension department ASAP since the struts and some bushings are totally worn out, otherwise I've just been enjoying driving a normal car (besides that it's hella slow) with power options for once.

Right on! Good to hear you had a safe trip and that the car didn't give you any major trouble.
