That intercooler might be an issue over 200whp..

I didn't think of that. I'll post a pic of it shortly to go along with the other sutff I have pics of.

But yeah, in regards to everything else; neato, good luck.

Are you going to be doing a similar setup to PimpedSC2's sleeper? (180* bend to the turbo from the manifold)

Also, what are your plans for fuel tuning?

          Re: SiliconSentry's SLOW turbo build

Well I've got a 92 header I"m going to pick up from SC2Sick as long as he's still got it for me. I'm thinking I'm just going to slap the turbo flange right on the end of it and go from there.

For tuning I'm going to be getting an MS1 v3.0 most likely. Probably from Tristian unless I have a spark of wits and decide I feel like soldering.

Why would that intercooler cause problems at 200 horses? Just too small or not good flow??

I've only seen a few saab intercoolers but none of them seemed large enough, but who knows. It's better than nothing.

So this is the 92 header..

Hmm, it might work alright. Just make sure that the turbo drain is at least a few inches higher than the top of the oil pan, since it needs to drain downhill and will need to bend as well. I'd say minimum 4-5" from the drain flange to the spot you're putting the fitting.

              Re: SiliconSentry's SLOW turbo build

My intercooler is about twice the size of that SAAB one, I have cooling fans always on. On a hot day, my charge pipes can get pretty damn hot.

                Re: SiliconSentry's SLOW turbo build

i think that small intercooler would work fine for a low boost (5psi max) setup. definately look for a larger intercooler if you plan on going higher boost. ebay has decent intercoolers for cheap, i think thats what a lot of ppl here are running and they can be had for 100 or less

have you thought of doing a BMIC. I have never had problems with mine cooling the flow. In fact I thiknk it works better than the FMIC

Sorry dreams but don't know what those acronyms mean. lol. I've got a larger one out of an AUDI I think but it's a friggin beast and don't know if I'd get it to fit anywhere.
