    watch that 1-2 shift!

Factory Pro Shift Kit helps a bunch. And its cheap and easy to install.

A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp

-Thanks for the advise (especially because this is my first street bike), I'll look into that.

Yeah, let me know if you have any questions. Definitely keep an eye on that trans the first time you ride it. Its pretty easy to fubar if you don't pay attention (careful/slow on the 1-2!).

Oh, and your D&D most likely needs to be re-packed if its got any age to it. I have one on my 600, and it was the loudest god damn thing I'd ever heard. Getting it apart is very interesting. Make sure you lube it when you put it back together, in case it needs to be done ever again.

I got packing material from JC Whitney I think. Like $10.

Supposedly, if you use stainless steel wool, it wont absorb quite as much sound... but you wont have to do it again. Not sure how accurate that is though.

D&D Exhaust is really damn loud to begin with, I have one on my bandit 1200s and that thing is obnoxious on long rides (which dont happen often) but damn it sounds mean.

but definately look into a repack as mentioned
