    ipp piston and rod combo
    valve job
    balance crank to 15k rmp's
    sleved by ge
    safac tuned
    stiffer valve springs
    solid lifters
    and more

i am looking for about 145 max w/o nos and about 200 with
my goal is to make power at 7500 rpms

i know im learning so there will be more i need. any advice is welcome and needed.

our engines are not made for high rpm power, the stroke/rod ratio is to large. ge block, 15k balance and solid lifters are a waste of money. get oem replacement valvesprings, they will be stiff.
72 Charger: pissed me off, on jackstands.
95 SW1m: Dohc swap. DD. I can haz boost?

this. For running nitrous, either a 50 or 75 shot I'd probably only do about .020 or .040 max overbore. I mean if you want to spend extra thousands of dollars to make the car run low 14s instead of mid 14s by all means go for it, but most people will tell you it's not worth the money on an n/a saturn build. I would probably get it balanced to 8k, should be more then good enough as your car won't make more power past 7k without a custom intake manifold, custom header and big cams, at least that's what it usually seems.

Well if you're going that far, run the race cams. The street cams are still pretty mild. Plan on tuning it with something other then an AFC. With all that money in the engine I'd be running a megasquirt to try and get as much power out of it as possible.

i stand corrected on my first post. after some research i find our s/r ratio is good for 8k pre 99 and about 9k 00+, but the limiting factor is headflow and cams.
