Im with Donnie on this one.

Only thing, it has a noticeable rake to it.
I know it is the way the springs probably came, I just dont like it.

            Keep up the clean work.

Have you thought of cutting a dead coil from the rear springs to level it out a tad? I did that to my coupe and sedan and it leveled it out great and didn't affect the ride quality at all.

No that is one thing that I greatly dislike and yes I have look at cutting the springs, but from what I can see if I was to cut anything off the rear springs it could fall off the cuppling.

I am not proficient in Ion, but on the s-series when you do that, cut the coil, you just lay a tack weld or two on the spring to the perch so it doesnt fall off or move when extended.

is that something that can be done on the ion?

Well on the perch it has rubber cupplings on top and bottom. Which would stop me frpm tacking it.

the rubber is just a noise damper though. It may also hold the bump stop in it. if you tack the spring to the perch you wouldnt need the rubber any more anyways since the spring would never lift from the perch.

Well let alone removing the rubber alone would give me almost a half inch drop alone so maybe tpday I will remove them and see what I get out of it.

Well I removed the rubber bump stops on the car. It does sit a little bit lower but not completely to where I want it. I have some pictures of before and after. I also took some pictures of my rear spring setup and springs to see what you guys think of possibly being able to cut and tack the spring. Also thanks for all the props on the car.

Are you talking about your SL2 springs and also what kind of setup is your rear suspension?
