  • just what i've been throwing my money at.

So i bought this car 2 years ago with big dreams and high hopes. Not much has changed, but a realization that its gonna take alot of time. I just now got around to the twin cam about 2 months ago. Seems like murphey's law is hitting me pretty hard. Unexpected expenses at every corner.

The first pic is mine and my girlfriends first car. The Probe makes the Saturn look good lol. Its still basically stock other than the fully rebuilt twin cam, i changed the front bumper out to the style thats on it now, and i've put some integra wheels on it cause my steelies were bent to hell. I also put an interior in it from a 95 that i found in a jy. Overall, i might have 2k in the car, including shit like routine maintenance (butchered that word). Its an ongoing project/DD for me.

I found this picture. This is almost what it looked like when I first got it, except for the front bumper that is on there. It had the gay short bumper before. This is just after it was painted and reinstalled. Oh and I had repaired and repainted the wheel covers, and tinted the tails, and repainted the trim on the doors.

Good stuff, what are your plans for your build?
      2003 Audi TT
      2008 Triumph Street Triple
      1972 BMW R60/5

and I boosted a saturn once. It was stupid and I want to do it again because I like pain and suffering.

well i really wanna go turbo, but it'll be a while before i can get around to it. im moving on to suspension for right now, SC2 sway bar and rear subframe, new struts for the front at least, and i am buying some sprint 2.5s tomorrow evening.

There's also some kinks i gotta work out; when its cold, it rattles pretty horribly for about the first 5 minutes and then it slowly smooths out. Also when i give it a little throttle at low RPMs (2K and under) it kinda ticks, faster with more throttle. im thinking its some kind of pully problem, probably power steering or my tensioner.

Congrats man. You are going to love them. I am running sprint 2.0s. Cody on here used to run the 2.5s, and it made me wish I had just bought the 2.5s. Get some pics up when you get them in. If you need help installing them, give me a shout. Those wouldn't take too long to install.

got a couple more pics. interior is gonna be pulled out again soon for dying. also the sprints are expected to arrive tomorrow

Those white letters were free from my uncle. he didnt want em anymore for his 69 camaro so i figured i would get some good use to them. the nascar look has kinda grown on me lol. I do need some advice though, those acura wheels need painted. should i go with gloss black, or go back silver? what does everyone think?

Re: just what i've been throwing my money at.

IMO, get those white letters flipped to the inside. Lettering belongs on trucks, not sport compacts.

The rest looks great though, keep up the work! As for the wheels, Black is getting over-done, just have them blasted and re-cleared, (natural/polished/silver)
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

Figured I would update this a little bit. Looks like all the pictures from the old forum got deleted in the transfer. Not much has changed, I'm in college now so I don't have as much money or time as I wish i did.

I did get the interior swapped over, the twin cam swap, rear subframe, lowering springs, struts, window tint, short shifter, blacked out the tail lights a bit, front bumper swapped over, integra wheels with white letter tires, body by tupperware decals, Buffed headlights, and i'm sure i'm missing a few other things as well.

I'm going to pick up another set of seats on thursday, and I plan on getting the front sway bar soon and finish buying the tires for the wheels I bought from james. Slow progress, but progress none the less.

Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I'm not very good at that

Small bumper scar it's taken on. Gonna have to do that all again.

These are the seats i'm getting in a couple days

They are ProCar's ordered from a summit racing magazine. Not too keen on the blue, but i'm really tired of not having any bolsters
