Hey, I'm pretty new to this site and somewhat new to saturns. Ive been working on this car for about 6 months and so far its better then how it was.

Modifications:
"Custom" Warm air intake
OBX 10.3mm spark plug wires
Front strut bar
Chopped shifter
Custom shift boot

Future Modifications:
Blackout the interior
Tint tail lights
Saturn factory sawtooth rims ( if price is right at JY)
Sound upgrade ( not sure yet)

yeah i would if i wasnt a broke college kid...right now im focusing on just making it look nice and sound nice for the summer, plus idk enough about engines to do a swap..

Well, you have the perfect car to learn with. Make friends with the kids in the automotive classes, and you can get it done in a weekend for cheap. Just find a totaled Sx2 96-99.

true...maybe down the road then but not until the things on my list are done..ill stay on the lookout for one while i try to find black interior pieces at the jy, and i need to figure out how to install my geo storm GSI throttle body

Do lots of reading on the storm TB, as to not have a fucked up idle, or any other problems that come with it. Maybe you can get lucky and find an totaled SL2 with a black interior?

yeh, def try and find a DOHC saturn interior. the seats have better side supports then the SOHC seats and look nicer in my opinion.

i agree i havnt looked into the process of an interior swap so im not sure what im in for.....i have quite a bit of reading to do on this site and a quite a bit of saving $ to do..

IDK about the dash, as I haven't gone any further than pulling the dash pad and a radio install, but for seats, carpet, and center console, its REAL easy. A basic set of hand tools, and a free Saturday with nice weather will do the job. At least in my first gen. But I guess you would want to do all the trim too, ey? BE CAREFUL! the clips like to break. Otherwise, it's pretty easy and straight forward.

thanks but foruntatly my dash is already black and everything else is tan...stupid saturn color scheme....ill post some more pics after classes today, i think i wanna sew a new boot first bc the one i have in my car now is all sorts of fucked up, it looked cool at first but it wore awfully, i ordered it from JBS customs, it looked like this, although this is not my actual shifter...

im not 100% what ill do with the new one..

sorry, but that looks terrible. Go with a stock leather shift boot. Or order one from redline goods. Their stuff is nice.

so i got a price on reupholstering my headliner and the guy said $145....anyone know if thats a decent price or bullshit?
