finally got around to starting my rebuild. tore it down to the block today. pistons coming out tomorrow. looks like a few exhaust valves are not happy lol
that looks pretty. you mean you don't like low compression and burning oil? oh, that familiar smell...
built '02 turbo sc2 - evoVIII setup @ 11psi. coming off of a fresh engine and trans rebuild and going easy. should be ~ 20 psi soon and hopefully > 300whp.

I took the head into the machine shop to have the valve guides checked, reassemble, and resurface the head
replaced all the rings
old piston rings and rod bearings
I've been doing a ton of engine bay prep before I reinstall everything. lots of cleaning, replaced a few vacuum lines, cleaned the injectors, and powder coating a ton of stuff
timing cover
oil pan
the intake manifold was so dirty inside I couldnt really clean it. way too much oil inside to powder coat right now, it would of started on fire I think so I sent it off to be hot tanked, along with a couple other parts while im at it. (its taking forever cleaning everything myself)

Very good work! You may want to check the roundness on the cylinders though seeing as you seemed to be burning quite a bit of oil. Can't wait to see you get it back together and clean the whole bay up.
lol, you guys mean lumi? I think he had a typo, and meant Z34. That's a 3.4 from a lumina Z34. Unless he did a crazy motor swap.... Because the cavi didn't come with a 3.4.
I just assumed he had swapped it.
