  • that "not so fresh" feeling

I'm going to be working on the Monstah again pretty soon here. I have a few things planned, figured I'd do another build gimmick because, why the hell not.

    the plan...

    - get more than $12 in the bank account.
I'm a broke ass mofo, but I can still get shit done with no loot.
    - paint the car.
the paint's pretty old now, clear coat is missing in spots, bunch of paint chips, etc. time to freshen it up.
    - black out the intercooler.
I've been considering it since day one, but I'm finally going with the blackout. I just like the dark look.
    - re-ring the block.
I think I can do a better job than I did previously, and I want to check out the head and shit anyway.
    - install new headgasket and studs. I'm using one of those plain copper gaskets, and it leaks coolant when the car is cold. I'm getting sick of that shit too.
I get the feeling that the shit is lifting under boost/heavy load.
    - come up with some sort of extra bottom engine mount.
the turd kills that mount. They last about 2 months tops. I have a few ideas rolling around, I'll come up with something.
    - put tires on it (with tread)
I don't have traction with DR's anyway, why not make the car able to drive in light rain by having regular tires on it. It's like ice capades out there if the road is just moist....and I drive like an old guy for the most part anyway.

when the ball gets rolling, I'll include some pics. I'll take some before pics of the paint anyway.
Same guy that painted the red sled is painting the green turd...so it should come out really good.

i had a green turd once... turns out i ate to many collards.

    also, anticipating this thread's future...
built '02 turbo sc2 - evoVIII setup @ 11psi. coming off of a fresh engine and trans rebuild and going easy. should be ~ 20 psi soon and hopefully > 300whp.

Jay have you looked into getting a tranny mount from Pimped_SC2?

I have the entire mount set from Pimped. Just didn't get any of them yet.
either way, it needs more lower mount.

I think he is referring to the mount under the crank pulley. I may be wrong, but that is what I gathered.
