    turbo and engine build

    i have been trying to prepare my car for turbo a while
    and i also had to gain some knowlegde from all you guy
    on here

    so 183,000 MILES ON 96 SL2
    CURRENT MODS
    SAFC-2 (NEED AEM WIDEBAND)
    FADENZA FLYWHEEL
    RETARD EXHAUST CAM GEAR(MADE BY JAY aka green monstah aka best looking turbo setup)
    EBAY INTAKE
    2 1/4 EXHAUST PIPING WITH FART CAN
    17" RIAX RIMS
    MATRIX COIL OVER
    SDA TAM MOUNT
    PROTHANE DOGBONE INSERTS

    engine (MIGHT RUN N/A FOR A WHILE)
    ALREADY HAVE MS NOT SURE WHAT VERSION
    SDA Stage 1 Forced Induction Head
    Clevite 77 Main and Rod Bearing set
    Hyperutectic Pistons
    Hastings Chrome Moly Ring Set

    so what are you going to run for engine management?

      You may want to only go over .020 on the bore
      If you are planning on boosting within a reasonable amount of time, consider the SOHC hypers as they will net you a little bit lower compression

          well i dont know the reasl reason to bore it over any way
          i assumed it was to remove the scratch from the cylinders
          and i wanted to run n/a for a while
          and im not looking run high boost

            The reason to go overbore is if the cylinders happen to be slightly out of round or to give a slight bump in HP since there's more air moving around. If the cylinders are in good shape then just a good hone should do. though i'd ask someone who's boosted since you might need different tolerances than N/A and whatnot. so you may end up having to get the block machined anyway.

              just got done porting the tb and now makes a nice whistle

              and i also cut off the shift stick an 1"

              and im not good at remembering to take pictures

              sorry
