Scotty's FC --> goodbye LT1, now 5.3, tc76 turbo time
Well I did a little work on it today with some electrical stuff. I drove it a couple times in the rain and the wiper switch didn't work properly. It would work only in LO position but not in INT or HI. Seems to be a common problem which can be fixed by taking apart the switch and replacing a $6 relay. Tested it and the relay had failed so I ordered a new one.
Another problem I'm having is the clock and some of the warning lights in the center don't work properly or flicker. Not sure if this can be fixed, but cold solder joints seem to be a common issue.
Also want to figure out why the moonroof doesn't function properly. It goes all the way back and all the forward, but I have to help it with my hand in both directions. Little things like this bother me and I'm gonna fix them while I decide what to do with the engine.
A worthy replacement for the turd! Looking foward to progress.

Definitely sticking with the LT1. An LSX setup would be better and is what I really wanna do(plus the sound they make just can't be beat) but this car is already setup and with a good set of heads and intake manifold there is no reason I shouldn't be able to put down over 400 rwhp on the motor and then with forged slugs throw a 200 shot at it. There is a good possibility I'll be doing a direct port setup mainly cuz I've never done one before and I want to. I don't even like nitrous and will probably never use it, I haven't even cracked the bottle that's in there.
