  • Punkboy's new Daily, 95 SC2 (more pics added)

Starting this thread cause I'm bored at work and making a spot for my new DD.

    95 SC2
    specs:
130k on the body, Stock alloys, working non-leaking sunroof, non power windows/locks, autotragic (for now).

Car is pretty much rust free, there's a little around the tops of the doors(seems normal for 1st gen SC's), there's only about 90k on the motor (which runs beautifully). Now i gotta figure out exactly what i wanna do with the car. I may just swap in an MP3 and the bolt-ons from my DD and call it a day, but i may end up swapping the whole drivetrain so i can have my built motor as well. not sure if i want some extra power or extra mpg's.

EDIT: crappy night pic, i'll get more later when i'm actually home and the car isn't covered in snow.

yeh, but i enjoy cruise, and with that i can't use cruise in 5th gear so i'll probably stick with an MP3

Swap in an MP3 and change the oil regularly. Have a perfectly flawless DD that you never have to worry about. Get new stock motor mounts (if they haven't been replaced lately) and don't even worry about the rattles. God that would be so wonderful.

I'll swap in my poly dogbone inserts, they're fine on my daily now with the stock trans and top mount. I'll probably stop by to take pics of the car soon.

It can't get that much different gas mileage from a built motor to a stock motor, seriously, maybe 1-2 mpg at most. I would put the other motor and all bolt-ons on it.

yeh, that's what i'm thinking, just swap my whole drivetrain over.

                        Re: Punkboy's new Daily

Well i think i've decided on what i want to do with this, i'm probably going to keep the stock motor in it with most of my bolt ons and swap in an MP2. Also looking to chop my H&R sports some more to get this a little lower (1 more coil off the front and 2 more off the back to make it sit even) along with the 1/2" rear hub spacers and maybe some small front wheel spacers, like 5mm. I haven't decided yet if i want to swap on my SPS sway bar if i wanna sell it off when i get rid of my sedan. Probably goint to keep the stock teardrops on it and throw on some decent all seasons like a set of 912's. It should be just about tucking tire. I need to go pay the guy the rest of the money for the car and take some pictures when i do that. Can't wait to get this thing on the road. Just looking to have the car be a little peppier then stock and get good mpg's while i'm saving up for a new car this summer.

                              That is not acceptable.
