Damn, looks good! Glad to see the manifold is being put to good use!

I really like that the tial matches the oil feed fitting for some reason.. you should stick with a blue theme. haha

      Re: Jeff Snyder's Turbo Build

haha yeah im going with a blue theme, Ill either go with aluminum or black colored IC piping with Blue couplers

The guy who made this manifold, He never compared it to a stock head/exhaust manifold it seems haha, the ports on the mani are smaller than the head and the flange isnt wide enough to use a stock exhaust manifold gasket, the oval rings in a stock gasket poke out a little on the mani = HUGE LEAK. I ordered some Mr.Gasket exhaust gasket material...it turned out to be crap so after searching online and finding several people who had sucess just using Copper RTV as a head-to-mani gasket im gonna try it

both flanges on the mani were warped, I bolted the turbo to the mani and could get a .009 feeler gauge to slide inbetween them so I had both flanges machined

Id kinda like to punch the guy who made the manifold lol...but if it works out and doesnt leak or crack ill be more than happy

        rock on looks great!

edit: wait you cam buy exhaust manifold gasket shit at autozone. it's kinda like a cardboard stuff with wire mesh mixed inside. it's what i used for my wastegate and downpipe. works great never had one leak. somthing i would try in your situation. oh and it's sold by the sheet.

          Re: Jeff Snyder's Turbo Build

Ordered an AEM UEGO Wideband O2 for my car that should be here tommorow. I also upgraded my MS to 2.0.1 Code...we will see if the issues I had with PW's randomly dropping to zero in the 2.0 Beta code has been fixed.

Also tried to fab up a downpipe....it came out like shit...so im going to redo it...just more money down the drain lol

                      Re: Jeff Snyder's Turbo Build

haha yeah thats my Civic radiator. I havent mounted my intercooler up yet it would just be in my way when crawling underneath my car back and forth.

Once I have my intercooler mounted and piping ran I will probably make some sort of plating around the radiator on the sides and bottom to force air through the rad instead of around it

                          Re: Jeff Snyder's Turbo Build

Havent posted any updates for awhile so I thought its about time

Im ditching my current turbo manifold (the one in the pictures) for an actual TSN log manifold that I need to get modified for an external gate. I had issues with my current manifolds flanges + runners being to small thats why im done with it

Mounted my intercooler and piping, I still need to get the flange for my DSM BOV welded on

installed an EGR block off plate

                          its slowly coming together............

                            Re: Jeff Snyder's Turbo Build

Took a hole saw to my TSN mani today and prepared a piece of tubing to mate up to the mani for my wastegate flange. Also decided to go ahead and make cuts along the bolt holes to allow for some expansion, hopefully I wont have to deal with this thing cracking

Haha I see you cut the bolts off of the turbo flange.
