Okay i have been in the shadows for a while now. Making an ass out of myself at some points but i am working on a turbo build right now and i felt kinda like posting some of it up here.
Cars peiced from:
$150 Gray 1995 SL2;
Had a perfect interior all leather and the transmission worked when the car threw a piston out of the side of the block. Also all windows incar were good.
$100 Engine Trans Combo;
Engine was in good working order when pulled out of the car. I was told the trans did not work at all.
$50 1994 Dark Blue SL2;
This car had a pefect body no wreck damage and the interior was bad due to the right rear window was broken out.
Turbo setup Includes
Borg Warner IHI T51/32 Turbo (from a 1992 6.2L Chevy Diesel)
Full 3" exhaust from down pipe to rear side exit
2" Home built manifold to turbo adapter pipe
14"x30"x3" front mount air to air intercooler
Full 2.5" IC Piping
Set of 48Lb Injectors
Megasquirt V2.2 Running MSNS-E
RS Motorsports MS Harness
Inovative LC-1 Wide Band O2 sensor
Generic 2 guage pillar pod
Generic L.E.D. Boost guage
Inovative Digital A/F guage
Well built generic BOV
GM Boost controller solonoid
For right now i think i got most of the list there
The build so far goes like this. Tore down the single engine made sure nothing was loose. Replaced all timing chain components due to tensioner was seized up. Took head off, cleaned all of the valves cylinder walls and head ports. Replaced head gasket and put oil return line fitting into oil pan. Put this all back togeather. Pulled the engine/trans out of the gray car and attached the trans to the gone through motor. Pulled engine/trans from the Blue car and replaced with pre assembled combo. We cut the cross member out of the front of the blue car and put the adapter on the exhaust manifold. Did not take the stock fan out of the car, everything is close but it should be okay for a while. Long story short at least for tonight all of the intercooling piping, exhaust piping, turbo, injectors and wiring are all in the car thus far.
Hope to take a bunch of pics and have them up in the next day or two.
Oh i forgot to say that the Transmissions in these were all auto's. I don't expect much to come of the auto but i need to make everything fit and work before i can justify a maual swap. I know i know the auto's as bad as it gets, Don't give me shit about it, It is what i had to work with.
