So I blew up my tranny (popped a tig welded diff pin), so here's my new build up.

Got another MP3, tore it down, got the diff pin welded.

Installing an OEM 4-2-1 header, painted it with Duplicolour High Temp paint with Ceramic (1200f rating).
Modding the collector to dump into a 2.5" diameter, 10" long flex section flex pipe.
There will be another foot or so of 2.5" pipe, which will then dump into a large case, resonated, Magnaflow high flow cat.
The honeycomb is right at the front of the muffler, it ends, and then there's a resonator attached to the outlet, such that there's about an inch gap from the honeycomb to the tip of the resonator. This should keep noise down.

And here's what the header+downpipe+collector look like:

The rest of the exhaust is a 3" crush bent setup with a 3" in/out Thrush Chambered muffler (clone of a Flowmaster 40 series).
Now since I have the engine out, I'm doing the 2 intake cam mod

I also needed a drivers side tie-rod end, and I swapped two newer spindles that I had laying around: my passengers side was loose enough to cause a vibration at high speeds and general looseness in the steering wheel.
Here's everything done!

Header paint didn't stick, could have been the grease left on the header, even though I did hit it with brake cleaner.
