More pictures soon
So I retired the Saturn back in November and picked this up (the black one below). I got it because the Saturn was getting up there in Miles and was starting to be a little more trouble then it was worth. I just didn't enjoy the hit or miss reliability, raspy buzz, lack of a stereo, or neck jarring, bump stop punishing ride anymore.
2004 Chevy Impala SS Indy Limited Edition- I got the car with about 79,000 on the clock and was in good mechanical condition. I knew with my OCD I would end up get it repainted but at the price they wanted I couldn't say no.

Goals- High/Mid 13 second Daily Driver
Current best E.T.- 14.6 (ZZP pcm with a 2-3lbs boost leak at the vacuum tree, now fixed)
SS Package Mechanical- (decent start)
Eaton roots M90 supercharged Series II 3800 3.8lt V6
34mm front and 19.5mm rear sway bars (which is larger than the aftermarket GMPP bars)*
Solid rear trailing arms*
4t65e-HD 4 speed autotragic Transmission (a little beefier than the normal 4t6e)*
* same as the police package
Stock specs-
240hp Although Grand Prixs of the same year are rated at 260hp, and I've had no issue keeping up with my friends 04 GTP.
280ft/lbs
Comfort/Sound- (ho hum GM)
Monsoon 200watt stereo system
Power/heated/leather seats
Power sunroof
Some other junk I'm forgetting
Appearance- (not bad)
Black, Black, Darth Vader, Johnny Cash, paint
17" Chrome wheels (already ditched for the same pattern in machined/black, pictures soon)
Indy fender badges
Limited edition cluster (or so it says) but at least it's got a decent oil pressure and boost gauge.
Embroidered Indy logo headrests, and SS's on the door skins.
Blacked out grill (Indy only) the normal SS has chrome on it with looks cheesey.
Rear deck lid spoiler
More aggressive bumpers and rocker trim.
Black accented headlights, and blacked out tail lights.

Now the fun stuff-
How I am working on making this car every bit as annoying as the SL2
Whats on now-
180 degree T-stat
ZZ Performance PCM
JMP Fender well intake
ZZ Performance stainless 3" downpipe
ZZ Performance stainless front Power Log. It looks kind of like a cross between a header and a log turbo manifold, headers are over kill and not really needed until you get to the 12's hence the "plog"
Resonator delete, 3" stainless pipe to the Y split for the duals. Even with out a resonator the car is way quieter than the SL2 which had a 25" resonator.
New OEM style 17" star/diamond cut wheels in Black/Machined finish with the new 235 Hankook Ventus HRII tires that the dealer put on. The chrome stock wheels were peeling and leaking, and the Hankooks are actually pretty decent.
Completely repainted, thanks mild OCD.

Needs to be cleaned.

Intake starts here.

And stops here.

The "plog"
Stuff coming soon, or waiting to go on-
Autolite 104 spark plugs (2 steps colder)
ZZ Performance throttle body (got KR?)
ZZ Performance 3.5" super charger pulley
Stainless steel brake lines
I'd also love to do the F-body, aluminum, dual piston, front caliper conversion.
