NOTE: ok update on the spacers, I called monday (since he never called me friday) to ask whats going on. He tells me when they went to waterjet them, the material started splitting, like with the very 1st batch. Even though this is a different grade of phenolic its doing the same thing. SO, the 1st 2 prototypes he did were milled, and I guess thats how they are going to have to be done cause watterjetting them just isnt working.... He is going to get back to me about a "milled" price on them soon, but I should be able to keep the price I told everyone for now, at least for the people that paid already. Only problem is now we are looking at another week or so untill the first ones are milled out. So I guess for now, no one else pay untill I know whats going on. I'll post as soon as I know more. Sorry about all of this, I should have expected it...

Well, the revised Phenolic Intake Manifold Spacers are finally in production. (Working with machine shops around here is horrible, no thanks to the GM tonawanda engine plant)
The price for 6S will be $65 With Free Shipping to you in the 50 US states. After a while they are going to go up to $70 + shipping on SDA.
For anyone who would like to know:
-Why would I want one?
These reduce intake temperatures (on average 40 degrees) and help make more power (on average 5-8 WHP). Forced induction cars will also have a lessened risk of detonation due to the cooler incoming air. They are also reusable.
-What do they do?
The spacer will help stop the transfer of heat from the cyl. head to the intake manifold ... since the manifold and head are both aluminum, they both conduct heat very easily. The head is obviouslly hotter than the intake manifold and in turn the intake manifold becomes heat soaked. (you know what I mean, after beating on the car or on a hot day, the intake manifold gets too hot to touch) Phenolic material transfers heat horribly and "insulates" the intake manifold from some of this heat. Now, your incoming air will stay cooler then it ever has before.
-Will it work on my car?
As long as you have a 91-98 Style DOHC head and intake manifold, then Yes. These will work on all motor, turbo, nitrous, + supercharged saturns.
-What if I already have a ported intake manifold?
Not to worry, the spacer is desiged with larger ports (the size of a fel-pro intake manifold gasket to be exact) so there will be no " raised wall" at the end of the runner. Also if you really want to get crafty, the spacer can also be shaped or ported, just in case your mainfold ports are larger than the spacer.
-How does it install?
Its like replacing your intake manifold gasket. With the spacer at 1/4" thick, the stock studs and nuts have enough extra length to still bolt up fine. Also as a precaution I run a very thin layer of high temp rtv on both sides of the spacer just to ensure a good seal against the head and manifold. However you may choose to run 2 gaskets, or no gaskets. It is your decision. But please remember no matter what you choose, you must clean the old gasket off the manifold and head.
-To those who remember my first postings about this a while ago:
These have been revised from the 1st prototypes. These are 1/4 inch thick rather than 3/8 inch thick, 3/8" made the power steering pump touch the fuel rail. Also at only 1/4" they are not lengthining the runner as much.
I hope i covered the basics, if not I will do my best to awnser. I will also have pics up in the next couple days. I am also having them work on a 1/4" TB spacer as well.
For those intrested please post or PM me and I will start a list.
