• Quaife buy-in - Going on NOW until May 1st!!!

(UPDATE - 12/18/0: I've worked my way upstream and have just been sent an email from the Quaife brand wholesale manager for the U.S. Time to put up or shut up as it looks like this will be a go. He won't sell to us directly, but said he could help locate an authorized Quaife retail distributor that would be willing to be the money man in the middle so to speak and then we would order from that retail distributor. I will be getting more detailed info very soon. Looks like the price should be right at $1302.95+shipping.

I don't want to have this thread cluttered up with a bunch of maybe's or I really want one but I don't have the money. Please post if you would buy one...no if's ands or buts. We are planning this to happen at tax return time and you will have to pay up front when you order. Credit cards welcome!

Re: Do you really want a Quaife?

I have money for one if it's a grand or less. Also, I remember reading that you had to mess with some ring or gear or something to make it fit right on the car, so it's not a "plug and play" modification. I want them to make it plug and play, so I can just take it to my mechanic and say, "here, replace that crap differential with this one" and be done with it. If that's possible, put my name on the list.

                    LOL @ under 1k

my guess is 1.5k if we're lucky

I said "Depending on cost" because if it's 2k I'm not willing to dish out that much on top of what I've already wasted on the car.

$1.500 for a plug and play is fine by me. I just don't want to deal with the thing where you have to cut/grind/whatever to the ring/gear/whatever, because I don't know if my mechanic... or anyone locally would be able to (or willing for that matter) do it.
