• FEELER: Group buy for Geo TPS reference adapter.

The Geo TB TPS does not read correctly, most OBDI vehicles will NOT go into open loop based on the TPS value. I am gauging interest in a plug and play adapter, It will be ~$30 shipped, post if you would be interested, enough interest and I will order the printed boards Get with the proto-board layout and get started with building, adjusting, and testing.

Okay, looks like enough people are interested, I will be starting work on these after I finish with my clutch replacement next weekend. It should only take me a couple days to get all of them done, I will update this thread as things progress.

** Just an update, the cost of printed boards for such a small run is too great to keep the price at $30, these will be made on proto-boards. If this change is an issue for you let me know and I will remove you.

How will this affect the lower throttle inputs? Will they all be off by like 10% now, or will it read just like the factory tps?

Ive not heard of cars not going into open loop due to this, unless peopple arent posting. Geo WOT registers at just over 80%. Thats in open-loop range.

        Reguardless, I will take 2.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.

I thought the same thing, but the ALDL stream showed me otherwise, I was one of the people in the past posting and telling people not to worry about it, because it was within range. Now I have to eat my own words, I'm not sure about other years, but 94 and 95 PCMs both had the issue for me, but 94 was when they started changing things a bit for the impending OBDII regulations. So 92-93 may be different, none the less, there are some other timing and fuel map issues with 80% at WOT instead of 100%. But you are down for 2, 8 more people and I will get a batch together.

So what's the big deal if it doesn't go into open loop anyway? Mine pulls super hard to the top, and the fuel is right in check according to the wideband.

Re: FEELER: Group buy for Geo TPS reference adapter.

In closed loop things like the SAFC do not work completely, as the PCM will read the O2 sensor and compensate, essentially fighting against the SAFC.

I see, well I guess I'll take one to try out. But it's been working flawless on my 93.

Re: FEELER: Group buy for Geo TPS reference adapter.

Mine read 100% throttle during the short time I had an AFC installed a few months ago. Im running boost on one, no problems that i know of.

Oh, and FYI there is room for a little adjustment on the sensors, the holes are oblong.

But, if you say its a problem and these things are only ~$30, count me in.

I am down. I had to go back to stock TB with my engine "refresh" because the GEO was just running like shit!

Well it was more of a feeler when I posted it, but yeah, moving it is a good call as I'm seeing enough interest that it looks like it's gonna happen. Thanks Billy.
