  • GEO TB throttle cable brackets

It's time for yet another Zombie GEO TB bracket buy in!

    HERE'S THE DEAL:
you want to use a bigger throttle body (TB) on your 91-99 Sx2 or 95-02 Sx1, and both the SOHC and DOHC GEO Storm TB's are an improvement over our puny stock unit.
Good news everyone! The GEO TB's bolt right up to our manifold.
Bad news everyone! The Geo TB essentially needs to be mounted upside down on our manifold in order to line up with the throttle cable bracket. The problem lies in that the throttle plate now opens the opposite direction from our stock TB's. So we have to move the throttle cable mount quite a bit.
Simple solution: Buy my brackets! They look pretty good(ish), are plenty strong, and you can get them in any color you desire, as long as its black....or you want to pay more.

    DESIGN:
I try to refine the design with each new buy-in. If you have issues that cannot be resolved with a little bend of the bracket, PM me and I will make you a new one with any changes required just for you, free of charge. Provided you take lots of pics of the problem.
    Known issues:
-First batch of brackets interfered with PCV valve/hose on some generations of DOHC valve covers. PROBLEM FIXED AFIK
-Brackets typically are a VERY tight fit, with the PCV vent line on SOHC engines.
-Bracket mount slots are a bit loose, IE: too big. WILL FIX THIS GO AROUND
-Bracket mount slots are too long IMO. I WILL ADJUST ACCORDINGLY
-Brackets have been made out of 12ga steel, which is rather thick. Once powdercoated, it can be hard to get the throttle cable to clip in without some screwdriver assistance. I could reduce the thickness, but that might require a weld on/bolt on brace to keep the bracket from bending. NOT SURE ON THIS ONE, I LIKE THEM THICK...heh-heh

I HAVE RAN MINE THIS WAY FOR YEARS, AND IT HAS YET TO CAUSE ANY PROBLEM WITH MY GENERIC SILICONE VENT LINE. HOWEVER, I WILL PROB TRY TO ADJUST THE BRACKET TO ALLEVIATE THIS.
    THE INFO:

$25 for a raw steel bracket
$30 for a Satin Black powdercoated bracket.
$?? for a color of your choice. We will confirm price for custom colors via PM.
(these prices are old, but it will be around there. Getting new quotes)

    ORDERING:

    Post here:
Something like, "I would like X (number) of brackets in X (color/finish)."

    Then PM me:
    Subject: GEO BRACKET ORDER
FULL NAME / NAME ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR PAYPAL-
    SHIPPING ADDRESS-
    NUMBER OF BRACKETS, COLOR/FINISH-
    PAYPAL ACCOUNT EMAIL ADDRESS-[/b]

And finally, I will send you a PayPal invoice. Note: there will be an "Online Fee" to cover my end of things. I could add this to the price of the products, but I like being straight forward.

I'm sorry there has not been movement on this. Kinda frustrated honestly. I was expecting the raceland top plates to be done and gone by now, but they aren't even back from the machine shop. The shop has really taken their time, and that has pushed these back way too far, and I'm sorry.

I will begin collecting info this week. If you do not hear from me by friday, hopefully that means the plates are done and getting shipped.

Ok, I think things are ok to proceed now.

Expect PM this weekend if you are on the list. Sorry this has dragged out.
