Sad part is I won't be part of this buy-in but, AMR, could you make a radiator for us? I know that is another key performance component that we are getto fabing with civic radiators mounted sideways or upside down (some crazy karma sutra position) So what do you other guys think? Would it be nice to have a radiator that fits properly for cooling our cars?

Re: ANOTHER REQUEST FROM AMR
We can make a aluminum radiator no problem. I have a supplier for radiator cores and intercooler cores, so that is no problem.
But as someone previously stated, I believe there are options for you guys already. I'd love to make one, but if there is already good companies out there who make them, then I'd just stick with that.www.amrengineering.com

im pretty sure that a single core all aluminum rad can be done cheap and still be quality. how would it be a "thrift store" product? it would be nice to have a company that sees that not all of us have $500+ for a radiator, in fact, most of us dont. thats why people ghetto fab civic rads. i would do that as well, however, i have no way to weld and no one to do it for a reasonible price. which means, i am stuck adding fluid and having it leak out of my end tanks by about a half a gallon a week. i would love to replace it, however, it is only 3 months old! bills and school tuition is a little more important right now. so i think that if Andy did build a nice little, direct fit aluminum rad for under $300 shipped, it would sell like sex in a catholic high school. it wouldnt be to hard considering summit makes a universal 16" for like $135. it just needs to be able to be mounted.Black 2006 Cobalt SS/SC

as it stands there was a company at one point that made them and sold them for around 200-300 bucks. but, they do not make then curently and last i contacted about it they never responded.
as you can see the price has forced people to alter other radiators from other cars which like noted look like ass and do not fit right or well. and sales of the fluidyne have gone down as prices go up for it now. i for one had used a radiator from a camaro that fit decent. but, needed alot of work to make it bolt up.
and for the cost in volved to weld some end tanks on a core and a few mounts doesnt cost 500-600 bucks to sell it for. the mark up is retarded like the soda you payor that cost pennys to make in bulk.
i currently am running a stock radiator now with a life time warranty that i have to use abot every 6 months when the end tanks give out. and advanced i'm sure is sick of seeing me. as for the one i rigged up. it didnt mount right and hoses wouldnt allow for the turbo down pipe to fit. so it's been gone for a few years now. so a olution to this needs to still be addressed.

Re: ANOTHER REQUEST FROM AMR
We can definately make a halfsized style radiator for the s-series. That is no problem. I can make a 100 percent bolt on aluminum radiator for you guys.
If you guys are truly interested in this, then we can start a groupbuy to get something like this going. That way if there is enough interest, I can make these, and then if all goes well I will continue to offer them. I'd hate to get all tooled up for this to only sell like 2, I would not be able to sell it for a affordable price. That in a sense now becomes purely custom work, and custom work cost money. But if this is something where you can get 15 people together, I can do it. I already have a supplier for the core, and I can make the endtanks. I have a few S-series that I can use for mock up, so no problem there.
If anything, I'd shoot for around 345 shipped. Is that too much for a quality radiator from us? Cause it would definately be around that much.www.amrengineering.com

Re: ANOTHER REQUEST FROM AMR
$345 shipped sounds alot better than 600 shipped. also, JR that was speed remedy that made that rad. i have been in contact with them and they wont even let me build interest to show them that they can make money if they start producing them again. so fuck em. the guy is kind of a dick too.Black 2006 Cobalt SS/SC

The $600 radiator is a full width radiator.

Re: ANOTHER REQUEST FROM AMR
The only way I could justify this buy now would be that this radiator could accomodate an autotragic tranny then cap those lines once I swap.
