  • AMR S-Series Coilover Buy-In 2 *COMPLETE*

This thread needs to be posted because I think a lot of people are still interested in getting themselves a set of these. My ratings cannot be higher. The performance and adjustability is top notch. They greatly out perform the Koni SPSS 3 Race Shocks I had on the Civic in my opinion, and are much more adjustable. Anyway from just wanting to drop the car to a serious race setup really needs to consider a set of these, and for $1330 you can't go wrong. You can't get a set of race shocks for that much.

The buyin needs at least 10 committed buyers, and I will keep this post updated with a list for anyone who will want a set. Be sure to include if you would like pillowball mounts or not. A 30% deposit is required to reserve your set.

we need the deposit to place the order, the time frame is whenever we get enough people, once we have 10 we will wait 2weeks for anyone else to join in before we place the order. 35-40 business days for production, 4-5 wks for assembly and shipping. Final pymt will be due somewhere during that time. There is always the option for a later group buy if you can get enough people. I wouldnt risk waiting though.

Are there cartridges in these coilovers? So that if they do blow , they can be changed? Or is the strut and cartridge one assembly? They look really nice and there looks to be a LOT of ride height adjustment.
A picture can explain it all.

Back to the thread....Can AMR confirm Adam's thought or shed some light. Can these babies maintain the standard ride height, or do they run about an inch low at their maximum height setting? Looks like plenty of thread available from the photos but cannot tell. I for one would prefer to run standard height.

Would like to know the free length and diameter on the spring for a few calculations. Could AMR provide please? I'll make a decision based on the data. Adam's right they are very nice.

they have enough thread, but it kinda wobbles when its higher than one inch.

as for the spring, the free length is 7 inches, and the i.d. is 2.5 inches i believe

Yay I am finally able to reply to this post lmao. HSV, tomorrow I will be taking my car back to stock struts and springs. Before I do that however, I am going to play with ride heights a bit on the AMR's. I'll let you know what heights I can get out of these things, and how much higher or lower it is then stock a it's highest. Sound good?

Also the springs are metric yes, and you can use any 2.5" ID, 7 or 8 inch tall spring with these.

Thanks for the post AMR - I bit the bullet and joined yet another board anyway, lol.

Please change the type on my order - I wanted the full race set, 6k/8k, not the other way around. They'll be auto-x'd, and I'm so used to driving cars with an oversteer bias that I won't mind them on the street.

Also boing to order a seperate set of 6k rears, just to play with.

Which brings me to - AMR, you never answered my PM re the possible availablilty of 4k front springs. If they can be had, I'll be ordering two complete sets, 4k and 6k front, and 6k and 8k rear.

                Thanks!

EDIT - that's two complete sets of SPRINGS, not coilovers, LOL!

This is probably a silly question, but I won't know if I don't ask - are the front and rear springs identical as far as size and fit? I only want the 4k set if they're for the front...

They are same size from and rear. 7" x 2.5" ID springs. You can use them on either end of the car. So that 4k set you are getting can be used in the front or rear.

ill take a set of front pillowballs.

can he make a set for the rear as well? as long as the threaded portion of the strut rod is the same diameter as stock, they should work for me.

As long as your springs are 2.5" ID and they are the same rods they should work fine. I should be out in the garage today disassembling mine so I'll just get a caliper on both real quick. I think stock rod is a little narrower.
