How do you know if you have remote keyless entry?

My 95sc2 has power locks/windows and abs all that shit.. so i think its a good possibility it has RKE. Of course I never got a key fob from the previous owner.

Nope, '95 didn't come w/ it. But, there's is a way to put it in though (factory). I had a service writer here that had a '95 SL2 and did it. I think you have to replace the BCM??

sounds like it won't have it, but in general the easiest way to tell for sure is just to call the dealer with your VIN.

No, the '95 Saturns did not come w/ the RKE feature. It started in '96.

it takes the RKE module, a remote, some wires, and power door locks ...

then all you need is the wiring diagrams


btw, BCM's weren't introduced to Saturns until 2000 lol

Hey, don't pick on me! LOL! I wasn't sure how it was done. I just remember him doing it w/ out any problems. I will go ask my techs and see how they did it.


BCM, ECM, PCM, PMS.....what's the difference? LOL!

Why dont you just get a aftermarket keyless entry? It would a whole lot easier.

Ok, I just called the guy who did this on his '95. He said (I was shocked) it was a kit that was offered from Saturn, back in the day. I am still doing some research on it. I already looked through the old parts books and didn't see anything. I'm sure it's not available anymore. But, if I can get the part # I can see if any dealer has any left. I'll keep ya posted.

There is away to have it do the panic/flash the lights and stuff. Just just have to adapt the RKE system from another model into the car. It's probably not all that hard, just need the parts and a diagram

Yeah, the 96's only had the Lock/Unlock and Trunk Feature. No ALarm or Panic Button.

My 96 has power locks, but the trunk is still the mechanical lever on the floor. I can't see it being setup for keyless

My '98 SL2 has (well, had) RKE and i just took the electric trunk pop from it to put in my '95 SL2. I bought a bulldog deluxe500 system from a guy on saturnspot for $25, no joke. I love it...

The electric trunk pop can be set off electrically or mechanically.
