  • update of sadness... SES Hell

well i finally gotten around to reading the codes in my car

i got 3 of them woo hoo....

    p0171 lean code

p0134 o2 sensor infront no activity

P1404 Exhaust Gas Recirc (EGR) Closed Pos Perf (being homo)

the egr i am just gonna swap back to the 97 i put on the 2000 and back and forth and see if that one goes away. and the o2 sensor thing drives me nuts.. i think the wire or something got chewed on by a gerbal or a mouse or something so i am gonna re run a new wire for the o2 straight to the front o2.

cause i got the code for the o2 no activity a while ago.. and i though i cleared it with a new sensor.. so i dbout that the 2nd new sensor is fault yas well so screw it i am gonna run a new wire. lean code is the only bastard i know and hopefully it will go away once the o2 sensor reads right.

if changing the egr any clue wtf that means in english

what kinda sensor did you replace it with. I've seen codes come back after only 2 months with the autozone Bosch sensors

when i first got it i got the aftermarket knock off ones from ngk, and then i snagged a oem 92 from the header i snagged and just wired it up. so i think i am gonna re run the wire.. i think the wire was fraid somewhere.. cause i've gottent his code since day one, and my friends 99 sc2 that sat for 3 years.. has the same code as me so i think the o2 sensor wire is toast or something, we changed the connectors and both used tape and saudered them, and we both tried different o2 sensors.

so not to confuse anyone i had a regualr manfiold before but i found a 92 manifold etc for cheap so i returned the o2 taht was faulty or though that was, and put the 92 header on with the oem o2 sensor that came with it.

IIRC, 91-92 02 sensors are a different size from the 93+ aren't they?

nope the 92 i got is smaller (the nut part atleast) from my old oem one from the 97.

in the sohc the 91-94 were smaller then the 95+ since they changed th emanifolds, i belive the 91-92 were the same and 93+ were the same but bigger.

              but anyways

i swapped my old egr off and blocked it off with quarters got the usual low/. no flow p0401 for the egr but i went and beated on it and car felt the same crappy way of boggy boggy in 3rd gear at 3k then fooring it.
