ok just got done with the rebuild...went to start it up, mind you i have no exhaust just a header, but when it idles its around 4k...plus i got a code 33 which is the map with high voltage, right? please any suggestions...im thinking about gettin another map but i dont know

hmm, have you checked the TPS sensor and maker sure theres no strips on any wire?
mine would idle like that too and i had a stripped cable. Got a new one at the junkyard for free [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif[/img]Just baught a Big Mac, Throw some Cheese on that bitch...

yeah i checked them...they were brand new, i replace the tps and the iac, the map was the only one i didnt replace....but look at this when i was idling at 4k i had no ses but when i moved the sensor as far up as i could the rpms went down but i got an ses plus the engine lobbed and shook...i dont maybe i have positive pressure in the intake and thats whats causing the high idle....shitComment

thats what i thought but i cant figure out where....all the lines are brand new....it does sound mean right now though lol sets off car alarms on the next block lolComment

Sounds like a vacuum leak. 4k idle is a pretty big leak. Check the brake booster like, it is overlooked pretty easily.-6S Resident Mechanical Forensics member #001.

ok found problem and thank you bretz bc it was the brake booster and when you said that i thought to myself right on the back of the intake.....fuck but i got it and now its cool i just need to replace the clip for the map sensor...Comment
