Don't start that car until you put more oil into it AFTER checking the level. Otherwise, yay for spun bearings.

yea, sounds like you have a car that hasnt been maintained. Check the oil, Changing it may be the way to go cause its prolly overdue. Check the brake fluid, if its that low you need to check for the leak. If you have rear drums, your wheel cylinders are leaking and they need to be replaced or swapped for discs. Then bleed the whole system, I would even bleed the Master Cylinder if the fluid got that low cause god knows its prolly been like that for awhile.

its too late to check for oil pressure. CHANGE THE OIL NOW. Be sure to fill it up with 4 quarts.

Too late to check the pressure now? Whys that? If I change the oil its not going to help the problem will it?
yuou have low oil pressure because you DONT HAVE ANY OIL lol. He rebuilt he motor and had problems with it. Did you just build this? I'm not saying you don't have other problems but the only thing you can do, and the first thing you need to do in order to figure out whats wrong with it is ....... ding ding ding CHANGE YOUR OIL

If you checked the dipstick and there is enough oil in the motor(assuming you correctly checked the oil level).

then you have major problems and changing the oil won't fix it. Doubt it would even help it.

How are you checking it btw? I'm not ragging on you or anything but be sure to turn the car off, let it sit on level ground, pull the stick out and wipe it clean. Stick it back in and check the level again. On some of the older cars its really hard to get a good reading cause crap gets stuck in the tube over time and scews the reading.

well if thats the case, you have issues buddy. You said the battery light is coming on too?

Is it making any noise? Like a clunking at idle or when you go to accelerate most noticiably?

It sounds like the car is trying to kill when you come to a stop lol. Subliminal Advertising?

and I've had my oil light come on too, but that was braking from 100+ with the big brake kit I had on the car lol. by the time I got down to about 15 mph on the speedo, the light came on and I let of the brake. I was like whoops, guess the new brakes work ... woot lol.

Yeap.... that's how I found out how to do my first oil change. It was like 2 qts low and flickered only when braking. When you break, the oil goes to the front of the pan and the pick up tube is out of the oil.

What's normal? Idle is supposeto be about 13psi, but when its cold it will be 50-60+ until the oil heats up (coolant temp about 200, the 1/2mark)
