sohc to dohc head gasket issue

On my sohc block and my dohc head(yes the one that had a bad head gasket) I am looking for gasket kits.


I found 2 differant part #s for sohc and dohc for a head gasket...

I looked at pics of the 2 gaskets and they are differant.

But I know many have done succesfull doch to sohc head swaps..

So which head gasket do I get? sohc or dohc. or does it really make a differance?

if there is a difference, which I assume there prolly is. Get whatever gasket matches the head you are putting on. So if you are doing a DOHC swap, get a DOHC gasket

the blocks are identical between SOHC and DOHC [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/wink.gif[/img]
