    i was just wondering does anyone know what the compression should be when compression ckeckin? i did one the other day and it ran 165 across.is that ok or does it sound like i may need to ring it soon.i have 122,000+ on the motor thanks guys

    180+. 200 = real healthy

    165 = rebuild time

        i editted that but it didnt show up

        200+ is healthy, but did you check it with the throttle open? cause you should hold the pedal to the floor while you crank it. Your numbers will be much higher if you allow the engine to breathe

          aftermarket (or re-ground) cams reduce cylinder pressure also.

            Ive got about 170 in all four.

            Just boost it, it will love it and last forever.
            07 Redline w/ stuff.<br /><br />89 Civic hatch w/o stuff.<br /><br />96 SL2 that dont need stuff.
