Saturn seems to think my ecm took a shit and that i need a new one, i dont want to get there 500 dollar one so i want to grab one from a junk yard i have a 92 sc 5 spd. I found a 92 sc auto. I know that i can swap them out and just have to watch the rev limiter, but with the jy pcm bein an auto is it goin to throw the SES. And do i need to get it reflashed for anything?

The SES will come on because there will be no auto trans to talk to the PCM. If that is an issuse do to emissions testing, then go to another yard and get one for a manual. I have seen alot of 92's in the yard in the past year, so it should be easy to find one.

BTW, I don't believe you can re-flash the OBDI PCMs anyway, so you'll need to find the right one.

Yup. Not every option has to match up (I don't think power vs manual windows matters, for example), but things like ABS, tranny type, engine type, maybe a couple other things.
