  • jammed pass window + stuck dynamat

ok, I'm screwed trying to fix this thing. The window went down and jammed the other day. I can hear the motor trying to move it, but no go. Here's why I'm screwed though...I have dynamat xtreme all over the panel. I cut holes where I could, but that crap doesn't come off after it's been there for a few years. Does anyone know how to release the mechanism so I can move it? The FSM had a really really lame description and no picture and I'm brailing it in the door through one of the lower holes.

well, if it will stop raining I'll pull it off. (naturally my window gets stuck down as a big ass cloud is rolling in)

Take the outer door skin off and get to it from that side.

if the dynamat's sticky part is on the window, can you get it off?

dynamat isn't on the glass...just on metal on the inside of the door. I'll get it from the outside whenever the rain stops.

well, after all that work taking the door apart I found that the motor was only getting juice from the switch in the down position. Pulled apart the switch from the center console and it was melted... haha. Next time I'll check there before yanking the door apart.
