if anything, you may need the studs for the downpipe flange, but they'll probably be on the manifold already

just the gasket is all you need.

yeah they'll be tards at most dealers if you ask for it but it's not your car.

next time lie and say it's for someone else's if they really corner you.

it's going to change the sound of your car as well as move power up a bit, not sure how that's going to end up working out for you, but I get a lot better usable power in the low of 2nd.

then again, I'm making a bit more than you are too lol

well, right now i'm looking into possibly having a machine shop polish the interior and possibly port it. just making inquiries right now, but would doing so make any difference, or should i just get the fucker put on there?

well yeah it will but not all that much honestly. if they want to charge you over 100 bucks to do it, which they probably will, then it's not really worth it since it's still a stock manifold. I would just put teh sumbich on there.

im looking at getting the GMPP touring exhaust for the cobalt, but the dealer wants 996$ uninstalled, or go to Pace Performance.com and get it for 494... wtf

you have the borla style i presume?

yes, but if you look for Borla for the ion it doesn't exist, and here's why:

a year or two ago Borla and SMS struck a deal up to see hwo much interest there was for a stainless mandrel cat-back, and 2 prototypes were made. a year passed by and there was absolutely no interest shown because Saturn owners are cheap fucks, so Borla dropped the project. during this SMS put the two systems in their back room and forgot about them for a while, until they were called upon to liquidate inventory. when that happened, they were auctioned off on eBay to two people on this site. I am one, blueiondubv in OH is the other. our payments combined was still lower than the system is worth.

now you ask, what happened to the plans? simple. they put a 2 bolt flane on it and changed the tip, and market it for the Cobalt. now if you look at the borla system I have and the GMPP system, they look the same. know why? cause they are. the GMPP systems are made by Borla, but with GMPP stamped on the muffler casing.
