you guys noticed this on a lift? maybe get some channel locks on it to help turn it.

that definitely explains why it wouldn't come off, wonder who fucked that one up

Here's an idea. It may be a little extreme, but pull the engine, and take some vice grips, some really long ones, and tighten them down good on that puppy, and turn.

Or, another idea is to cut the base of the top, and use a bolt remover kit, which again, includes pulling the engine. Either way, it's coming out.

Well, find the slimmest pair of vice grips, and get to work.

are you retarded or what?
if the thread is stripped, cant you use helicoil. and if the head is stripped, cant you just use some really good vicegrips or plyers while the engine IS STLL IN THE ENGINE BAY?

the problem is clearance with the starter hooked up and all. if we disconnect the hot side of the battery it will be fine though. however, you don't need to pull the engine, that's just dumb.

If we could use a car lift we'd be able to get in there better and have the leverge to get the bitch off

pull the starter. had to do that with joes engine. jeremy couldnt do it, so i hopped down, pulled the starter and popped it off. its a bitch with vises on it, get a small turn. but get the starter out of the way, and it will help.

jeremy loved that , then the old knock sensor rolled into the sewer when i threw it at him.
