What the major difference in the rear and front struts as far as sizing goes.

I have KYB struts and well I think I put the rears in the front and the fronts in the rear. Reason why i say that is because the rear strut popped out of the rubber mounts and is sticking out big time.

Going to switch them out and maybe that should fix it, any input?

Also feel free to call me a dumbass I see it fitting nicely.....

maybe the wrong year application your car is 95 so may need to replace those rubber mounts. Dont feel dumb, i did something similar. Did you also alter or replace the springs?

Naw mounts are the same year plus the suspension stayed the same for all S-Series. I have the Sprint Extremes, what leads me to believe that I put them on wrong is the fact how far out its sticking out.

Plus the other side is fine....

i ran into the same problem. i put the rears on the front, and found that someone marked the box wrong.

i cant remember, but i was thinking there is a bit of difference in the spring mount. yeah im about 100% positive that there is a difference in the spring mount. your springs should be marked correctly to which goes where.

but also, did the nut tighten all the way down to the bottom of the threads on the shaft?

The short fat ones are for the front, and the tall skinny ones are for the back. It is a little hard to tell by looking at them in hand, but looking at them from afar it is clear.
