  • Tranny cooler

Ok so I will begin project Conflict upgrade tomorrow. I will be buying a tranny cooler tomorrow, I just need to know how easy or hard is it to install one and what will be needed.

Words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated

You already have a trans fluid cooler.... it's built into the radiator.

he means like an independent one. I am going to be getting one also in the future.

Omar, based on my research, the thing acts as an "oil cooler" and you routethe tran. line that goes away from the radiator through the cooler, that can mount on te front of the radiator, and back to the tranny.

            charlie horse!!
trans cooler is easy on your car
just totally bypass the one in the radiator you can either fab up fittings to reuse the stock ends on the lines or cut the rubber and connect the oe lines to the cooler lines with some barbs that sometimes come wit the cooler
if your runnin a/c then youll want to mount it towards the bottom of the condensor for max air flow or move it a bit higher and get a small pusher fan and wire up a probe and fan switch w/ a guage so you know where your at

take the lines off the radiator, cut the fitting off, flare the end of the line that was in the radiator (so fluid wont leak back out), clamp on a hose onto the metal line and run up to external trans cooler.

one thing i would add is a fan with thermostat. like a 180/165 thermostat (its just a temperature probe) to kick on fan.
