I have a tough work schedule going right now....I could do it, but not sure when.

how soon do you need it done?

          that depends...

Is the car mobil at all? (will it drive?)
          if no,
is the old one still in?
have the new one ready to go?
got a decent work space at your place?
got an air compressor? (something large enough for impact tools)

the leak is slow so i can put some in drive a few miles i can see and feel the crack but it will leak all out over time (few hours)

Preferrably tyou want the same year same trans code (mp6/mp7).
I'm not sure on what years the gear changed and what years the electrinics changeed. If the crack is jsut on that bell housing side, the bell housig from the "other" trans could be used, but I pretty sure that would cost more since the auto trans is a pain to take apart and put back together.

yea its a mp7 and they changed the gearing in 98 but i chink some of the sensor are different in 00+ so can i still use a 98 up or 00 up

same year as the car, same tranny (MP6/MP7). The PCM was a Delco in 98' and it changed to Motorolla after that, so the systems are NOT the same. It may not run right at all if you mix it up.
