Saturns best friend SES light ?

I was wondering if any of you have had a problem like this:

I drive a 93 SC2 Manual with a cold air intake and whenever i start to accelerate the ses light will come on and stay on till i let off the accelerator. this has just started happening after i put the motor back in from completely rebuilding.

Im lookin to save some $ from getting it checked.

pull the light fixture out of the dash crush the bulb and re-insert fixture... problem solved... you've built the engine you know when its not running right and you don't have a warranty anymore so who needs it.

go to autozone and have the code pulled, see what it is, then we can figure it out from there

You know seriously I think this thing about peoples lights going on isnt something to joke about just because the car "runs fine". I have just as many, if not MORE mods done to my [email protected] then these guys with the SES lgihts and I dont get the light on AT ALL

lol yeah because you know, 3rd gear has a tendency to just "disapear"...the gear just goes invisible and the transmission ges "WTF where'd 3rd go?!"

Omars said he had it from knock sensor and a transmission code, probably becaue he doesnt have the PERF. button like me, or because the tach doesnt match or something.

we swapped the ecu so it's not the perf button issue, but the knock sensor is bad and such, not sure about the cluster, that shoudln't matter, oh well

anyway to the thread's author, find out those codes and we'll help you from there

Does it flicker or anything when you are accelerating? If you have a OBDI (which you should if you have a 93) go here: http://www.differentracing.com/tech_art ... _info.html And let us know what codes you get.
