short shifter

anyone who wants to give me some info on this im making my own
i bought a shifter for $2 from the p&p
and took it apart now i need to know the best route

best route, is whatever you can do. cut the stock first, then you can raise the pivit point by adding spacers between the pivit base (yellow part) and the frame. if you do that then you can cut and have the bottom half lowered with another piece of rod welded in. then to lower side to side throws, the arm on the outside of the shifter, cut it and add a piece of 1/8" steel to be welded in to drop the arm of it (only drop it as much as the pivit point is raised).
