man, you sure the bolts are staying up tight enough and flanges meet together flat, no weld splatters or anything causing the problem?

my pacesetter has never leaked, hell i bet it still wont even after being smashed .

no i dont' mean welding the flange together... take a piece of pipe and cut like 1/2 inch rings out and put them in one side (either header or downpipe) and just tac weld them in, than you can still take it apart if u need to, but the exhaust will blow by the flange thru the lil pipe and not keep blowing out your gaskets

i had a custom copper gasket made for mine but nuthin matters cuz obx made the bolts in the wrong place, it just doesn't hold the whole thing down equally, i guess if the problem is that you don't want to pay someone to weld it or don't have a welder w/e than you'll have to try drilling extra bolt holes and than you can just clamp the hell outta it

um its not really rigging nathan. its more of an easy fix. lots of ppl do it with there cats. just run a straight pipe thru it after knocking the shit our of there.

officer do you have a cat?
yup sure do.

what you are doing is installing a pipe in the header that is long enough to make it past the flang.

that is if i am following heath corectly

Are you talking about from the header to the head or from the header to the DP? If its from the head to the header I used a stock OEM gasket and so far so good. Its a tad thinner and less noticable then the OBX one too. If you ment to the DP then I have no idea.

yep dp small pipes, take it to a muffler shop, i paid $50

far from rigging, headers made by companys like dc sports all have a small pipe that slides into the dp about 1/4-1/2" for the same reason, honestly its pretty much your only hope

I've read this post alot and was worried I would have issues. However I had purchaced the hotshot header to downpipe gasket and it worked fine. on the head side I used a OEM manifold gasket. I will start posting pics of my project real soon, I have alot to do to my house and time is lacking.
