  • tranny slippin?

the past two days my car has been actting odd. when i reverse its usualy normal and smooth but lately it feel like some kicks the front of my car and everything jerks then the cars starts to rool backwards. but i"ve noticed it only happens when the car is running for at least 30 mins or so other then that its still a smooth reverse. i was wondering is this the transmisson going or can it be something as simple as low fluid. and when is it best to check the fluid level.

If its not the ATF level then your Reverse clutch pack is prob gone. Do this for me:

Place the car in drive and hold the brake down (Like your torque braking, left foot on brake and right on gas) but let it come up on itsself but do not let it break the tires loose and look at the tach (Right before you brake the tires loose is your stall speed). Anyways put the car in reverse and do the same thing. If your RPMS differ from one another like say drive is 2500 and Reverse is 1800 then you know your clutch pack is slipping and needs to be overhauled. Remember this tests two things: your clutch packs and your torque converter. You can pm me if you wanna. Hope I helped.
