    I just wanted everone to know if you decide to reroute your belt away from you power steering an you, wanted to get rid of your ac at the same time you can, but be carefu!!!l I did it an now have a hole in my timing cover ...so if you do it kept an eye on it so it doent happen t you.

      i think quite a few guys have done it without an issue.

        well the way I have it know it will work but a friend did it for me to get my car out of my garage so he could work on his an I should of checked it .... he ran the belt on top of the idler pulley an it eat a hole right in my cover ...so I jb welded it for know leason learned NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE MESS WITH YOUR CAR lol I cant blam him my fault

          how long have you run it like that for it to eat a hole in the cover?

              a rubber belt thru aluminum
              my timing chain put a groove in my cover because i ran it about 15k after the tensioner went totally bad but thats a metal chain and a rubber belt thru aluminum?!
              hold on i need to research this

                  high speed friction can easily wear down aluminum dude... its a rather soft metal

                            i like ac
                            its delicious
                            i got a belt to bypass the ac and ps when gas was like 3 sumthin a gallon but i put it back on when my arms got sore
