    95 wagon engine build

    i recently aquired a 95 sw2 for my sister and i popped the head off and found 3 busted up pistons and the head is pretty much done for maybe
    i have pics but i can never figure out how to post them although ive read the post about posting pics i just cant get it right
    i have 4 hyperutectic or sumthin pistons on order dont know what that means hyperactive
    and some rings and want to know what everyone thinks i should do with the head

    pp head, hone it, new lifters and springs, and seals, and voila... might want sime new rods too

      If it has three busted pistons, then it sounds like it was abuse pretty well. I would start looking for a new used engine to drop in.

          the funny thing is i dont think it was abused it was a one owner car and its clean enough to eat off of

              my speculation led me to this: the coolant temp sensor is bad causing it to run lean and the fan not to come on , so it overheated and detonated and blew the gasket and pistons

              got the pistons and rings and new head
              gettin gaskets and timing chain set this week and throwin it together
              bet u i dont have as many problems as the i think his handle was "trytogofastblue"?
              after i bleed the cooling system it will be perfik

                anyone still reading this old thread?
                i need to know if theres a timing chain kit and gasket kit for a dohc 95 for less than $150 each
