  • I fixed the SCE TItan Headgasket oil restrictor prob UPDATED

I got this from the engineer at SCE in my email:

    Sam
Thank you for the information about the oil passage on the gasket. previous to your e-mail I had no idea about the oil being a problem on that gasket and I will fix that problem right away. I want to make sure that we are talking about the Sx2 motor not the 2valve motor or are we talking about both motors. if it is both I will fix them both it does not matter to me I just want to make sure that I am doing the right one. let me know and I will fix it right away and thank you for the insight and if you notice anything else that might need changing please let me know.Thank You

I sent him a message back saying both gaskets have the restrictor built into he gasket and asking if he minded me quoting his reply (so I could quote it on here) he replied back:
    Sam
I will fix both of the gaskets and thank you for the update and yes feel free to do whatever you want with my previous reply.
    Thank You

Might be... They might sell off the old ones first. They where in a production run when I sent that to them.

You will need a restirctor. They are suppose to have that fixed in the ones they are making now.

what you mean the right one? on the oem gaskets there is a hole about 1/8th or 1/16th big and on the copper one it has a half inch hole.

so how do i go about getting a restrictor sam?like where or how do i do this?

You can drill the block and put a small freeze plug in the block with a small hole in it. Make sure you can clean the oil galleys out very well.

i know someone who can weld aluminum so maybe ill have the head welded and just drill a hole in it.
