Schizzo is exactly right. Ian's runnin close to 400whp and he doesn't have the block modded to much to handle it. If you want a cheaper alternative to that thing, research filling the coolant sleeves.

Your build is a bit of an exception. If I had that much money invested and was shooting for the numbers I'm sure you are going for, then it's good for piece of mind.

However, a stock block with some hardblok and posting will hold quite a bit of power.
