  • EBC Brake stuff

Well,.. I received my EBC Brake Pads & Rotors today. Uhh,.. I think instead of "Drilled & Slotted",.. I got "Dimpled & Grooved" --ugh--

          Car

2006 ION RedLine. The rear will come later. Since 90% Braking is your front anyhow. This is just the start. That pic still shows the black colored preservative on em.

I've HATED the front ones since I got the car,.. WAY too much brake dust crap

lol you think EBC's are gonna be better for dust. Especially with a slotted rotor.

            Wait and see.

              lol yea really

dimpled > drilled. And you aren't going to be getting rid of the brake dust im sure as those rotors will chew through those pads pretty quickly. It should stop a fair amount better though. Also you seem surprised about how the rotor is slotted ...... you werent expecting the "slots" to be cuts I hope? lol

dimples dont crack, so you lucked out. you will stop so much better now, but you will have more dust, guaranteed. just get some good wheel cleaner and make it a habit to clean your car once a week. small price to pay for excellent braking.

I've been running the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors on my SL2 for about 6 months now and really like them. I'm running the Hawk HPS pads front and rear with them.

Now I just need to put my stainless brake lines on that I have sitting right here and I'll be all set.

powerslots and EBC pads have saved my car multiple times, and my life probably once.
