  • Hawk Pads...

What is the story with the rear hawk pads? I remember there was a thread on TSN about similar fitting rear-disc hawk pads from other vehicles that could be mildly modified to fit our application, but with TSN being gone I don't have any of that information. Does anybody remember this? I also think I remember seeing rear-fitting Hawk pads for the S-Series on e-bay, but I don't beleive they were ever confirmed legit.

        http://www.evilplastic.com/92mod3.htm#hawk

I never heard of modifying pads for the rear but the link above shows modifications for the front pads. They do they most of the work to stop the car anyway. I tried this mod with Hawk blue pads and it is fantastic on a track under heavy braking.

I recall reading that stock pads are fine for the back of Saturns. I think this link may help:

I've always heard good things about Hawk's pads for our cars, whether it be front or rear.

Ok, just to double check, the pads in the link will fit my application? I'll probably shop around, anybody have any sources they prefer? I'm going to get everything else I need from Tire Rack, but they didn't seem to carry any of the rear pads for any of the applications.

Interesting, this source ( http://www.coximport.com/HAW-HB359F.543 ) still lists them for our cars. I thought they were discontinued?
