I'm looking for the bushings that will fit the 17.5mm sway bar and the locking collars. SPS had them but they dont have em anymore.

You can't get a pair of 17.5 mm bushings from Energy Suspension? I'd like to say that the SPS ones were merely that. I don't know though, I didn't buy, I spent free time with a rat file reeming out some 15's that came with my bushing kit.

Im sure you can get the bushings from energy. As far as the collars i remember someone using bike seat clamps but dont remember how they worked.

I wouldnt trust a bike seat clamp, plus this bar isnt as big as a seatpost. Might just have to do the 15mm collars and file them out like you craig, but as for the bushings, i might send off an email to energy, unless someone has a link to where these might be had.

The closest I've found to the 17.5mm (0.6895 inches) is an 11/16 (0.6875 inches) clamp collar. Should work just fine. These can be had in a variety of finishes from McMaster Carr.

                Heres a link: McMaster-Carr

                Heres the part number: 6436K28

Thats for the black oxide. They have a zinc plated version for a little more. Heres the part number: 2380K21

I ordered my clamp collars for the 19mm bar from them and they worked great. Very fast shipping as well.

i know they have the brackets, but can the bushings be removed from there to use the oem bracket?

Lol, I just linked that same thing.

I don't see why not. That should fit into your oem bracket.

Not to sound dumb, but is it necessary to put on the larger bushings and brackets on the 17.5mm swaybar? I managed to get the regular sized bushings from the Energy Suspension poly bushing kit and the stock brackets on there and tightened down. I realize that it would make it harder for the bar to move/twist, but is that necessarily a bad thing?

Be careful with that. There was a thread kicking around about some guy that did this; it put enormous stress on the crossmember and actually damaged it.

yea someone did that with the Progress bar I think.

and im pretty sure you dont need upgraded brackets for the 17.5 if you have the correct bushings right?

Yeah, that was my buddy Jon who put the Progress 19MM bar into his Energy 17.5 bushings. It actually broke a part of the crossmember off, way too tight.

The larger bushings are the same size, just with a larger inner diameter, they should fit into the oem brackets just fine.
