I cant give you an exact # but I am 90% sure it was less than 35lb. ft. (memory wants to say either 23, 26 or 33 ). I always just tightened it up till I felt comfortable with it.English: Put it in the butt <br />Spanish: Metalo en el culo <br />French: Je vais t'enculer <br />Italian:Immettalo nel culo <br />German: Steck es ins Arsch ein <br />Dutch: Zet hem in het doelwit<br />Greek: Valto mesa sto kolo <br />Portuguese: Meta-o no cu <br />Russian: ?????? ? ??? (zasun' v zad) <br />Turkish: Gأ¶tأ¼ne koymak <br />Norwegian: Anbringer det i klubben <br />Armenian: Voreet Meche Beedee Khotem <br />Danish: Stik det op i roeven <br />Icelandic: Troddu أ¾vأ upp أ rassgatiأ° أ، أ¾أ©r <br />Japanese: Oshiri nioru

Yeah don't put too much muscle into it. I hardly thought I was and I broke one of the studs while putting a strut tower brace on.

I thought it was 26 as well. I'll just go with that. when putting on the brace do I have to jack the car? seems like if I am on flat ground that they shouldn't shift at all but I don't want to have my struts collapse on me -Mike-MN <br />'96 SC2 <br />Check out my website!<br />

assuming you're talking about a standard strut tower brace, then no, there's no reason to lift the car, you can do it on the ground.
as for the torque, I always just zipped then down with an air ratchet and then tightened them without air till they stopped moving.
