  • H&R springs

Since I haven't installed them before...do they need to be compressed? It doesn't look like it and it has been a while since I saw some info about this. Thanks.

If they're anything like my Eibachs, the fronts need to be compressed, but the rears don't. All 4 stock springs DO need to be compressed to come off the car safely.

Now that is funny, my set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs needed no clamps on any of them lol.

you need spring compressors to get the stock springs off. And like others said, you need to compressor the front(unless you're a fat ass) but the rears should be short enough to not need a compressor.

Hmm...just reading their (H&R) teck articles. Do our cars come with bump stops? I don't remember seeing them when I put the shiat coilovers on for the track. Their site says to cut 3/4" off the front and 1/2" on the back. Thx.

Yep, sure did now that I think about it. Could someone please measure the length of the bumpstop (front and rear) for me if they have them sitting around? I have some spares off other cars(non-saturns) that will work, but need to know length. Thx.

                  For future reference:
H&R race springs need to have the fronts compressed while the backs just slide on.

they shouldn't need compressing....make sure the strut rod is pulled out. Sometimes that bastid will creap in on you.

It was. We looked at it and couldn't get enough clearance for the top nut to be tightened. I don't know anything about stage III's etc. This is for the s-series and I didn't see anything in the documentation that came with the springs about there being different stages.
