  • ion coilovers.....

so a while back there was a thread about coilovers for the ions....

    and then it disappeared...

well a little birdy told me that they will be released in the next few months...and that there MAY be a group buy going on...our site name might have also come up.....

so now I ask, who would be interested in a full coil-over setup for the ion?

B+G RS2 Coil-overs (fully ride dampening adjustable, fully adjustable ride height)

Should fit both Ion and RL

Due to be on the market within 12 weeks as it JUST finished R&D at the end of August. Sales rep told me they are pretty much equivalent to a Mid-range Tein setup.

    Estimated Cost: $1500

I dropped 6S for a group buy so peeps better get in on this shit.

    Estimated Group-buy Cost: $1100

These are just ballpark figures. Just keeping my peeps in the know.

I met up with Jim and Adam at Gravana while I was out there...I had my hands on their fully adjustable coilover setup (in R&D at the time) for the cobalt SS, which was said to be THE model that would be applied to the Ion/RL (with the necessary mounting adjustments). Back then (early Feb?) they were calling up B&G to bring them in on "absorbing" some of the production costs - this SUMMER, B&G was holding up THEIR end of the R&D, but I guess they've come through...I had money in had for these things while I was out there, but the timing just WASN'T quite right.

All that said (not quite sure what my point was there - alcohol will do that to you)...I MIGHT be in - timing is an issue, but $1100 is freakin' SA-WEET...The anti-RLF guys on here might not wanna see/hear this, but I KNOW there will be some of those folks jumping on this if it's presented to them. I'll leave it to the STC "powers that be" to decide if it will be extended to them over there though - don't wanna step on anyone's toes...I know I'm still the "new guy"

i'd consider it, but it's got to be near tax time!!!!!! (as long as red4copes gonna get me on base to do an install)
