  • Lowering the car...

So im prolly gettin some springs soon. My friends that have lowered their cars have needed to buy camber kits and such afterwards. Do i need that too? or will i be bueno with just the springs and an alignment...

if you drop 2.5" or more then you will need to look into camber kits, tie rod kits, and so on. dropped mine 2" on normal lowering springs, had it aligned and no issues.

there's a lot of us running the sprint xtremes 2.5 and they were fine with an alignment 90% of the time, anything lower though and yeah you would need camber adjustment

yup, I did the extremes and an alignment. NOTHING else needed. 3 years later the dame thing still ran straight as hell with NO camber/caster or tie rod end problems!!!

whats the drop on the b&g? is it like the eibachs?

Sorry about the hijack, but which is better, Sprint springs, or Eibach springs?

Eibach drop is 1.3" front 1.1" rear. the B+G is 1.75" all around. my worries of the eibachs are that they will not be enough of a difference to notice visually... which is more of my concern than performance.

the drop is actually very noticable visually even though it's not physically as much as say B+G.

to me it looks much more aggresive, and handling is better hands down.

^^^ I must agreee with Vin, The eibach handling is insane B4 my engine went to shit I use to take u-turns at 40mph and regular turns at 45. Also the drop is very notisable. I could be wrong but I beleive my car droped a totel of 1.5 all around with the eibachs. It definately gives it a mean look.

awesome. its good to know that. i know the eibachs are gonna run me a lil more than the BG's but i know the name is gonna be worth it. ill prolly just go with the name i know i can trust.

if you use kyrb gr2's for struts you can slam your car with out needing camber kit their drilled out to be adjusted better, i dropped mine 3" with coil-overs and never used the camber kit i bought...still aroudn somewhere i think
